Breeders Seminar "Breeding For The Future" on 29th September 2006
"Breeding for the Future" was the first breeding seminar held by Bozedown Alpacas.
The seminar was attended by keen alpaca breeders that left at the end of the day with a more clear view of how to achieve their breeding goals!
The day was planned to further educate new and established breeders in all aspects of breeding, evaluation and conformation.
The seminar included the following topics:
- Fleece Evaluation: Huacaya & Suri
- Fleece Judging: Huacaya & Suri
- Stud Power: Stud Male/Female Evaluation
- Progeny Results: Stud Male Selection
- Conformation: Huacaya & Suri
The day was extremely busy as there was so much to get through in the one day. At one stage we fell behind schedule due to so many questions being asked but manged to get back on track.
Due to the large numbers that attended we have had to review how we set up and run the next seminar.
All that attended were very pleased with the day and we have since had many comments and thank you notes from breeders.
